IMPROVING AUDIO AND VIDEO QUALITY
We have the equipment and the technology needed to improve the quality of audio and video files, which can come in handy when trying to secure evidence for a trial, or when looking to get reliable information from a low-quality surveillance tape or an audio recording.
IMPROVED QUALITY & WHAT IT CAN BE USED FOR
There are a number of situations where an investigation, or personal situation, may require audio or video evidence. This could be, for example, video recordings from surveillance equipment, hidden camera material, hidden microphones or other forms of image and audio surveillance. The image quality of traffic cameras and the surveillance equipment used by companies and individuals is often relatively poor, so it may be difficult (or even impossible) to see revealing details of the person or the people appearing in the video.
With our technology, we can filter out disturbing background noise from audio recordings, and we can improve the quality of grainy video files. We can also put our best technicians to the task of transcribing poor quality audio recordings, so even if little can be done to improve the quality, you will at least find out what exactly is being said.
THESE SERVICES CAN BE USEFUL FOR SOMEONE WHO:
- Has had their home or business broken into, and where the surveillance tapes or/or audio recordings are not sufficient to tell who the perpetrator was.
- Intends to take legal action with obtained video- or audio recordings as evidence, but where the quality of the material is not good enough.
- It has recorded audio for investigative purposes, but where it is not possible to determine what is being said in the audio clip.
- Works with a traffic investigation, where the recorded material from a traffic camera is not clear enough to distinguish, for example, a license plate.
SOUND AND IMAGE DETAILING
When trying to improve the quality of a recorded audio or video clip, what we attempt to do is to eliminate- or at least reduce noise and disturbance, to provide a “cleaner” file content. This type of work usually requires knowledge, precision and high-tech equipment, and cannot be done by anyone other than a professional.
Our IT tech team makes it possible both for civilians, companies, organizations and law enforcement to improve audio and video quality, which can then be used as for example evidence in a criminal case.
HOW GOOD ARE THE RESULTS?
The results depend entirely on the origin of the material you submit to us; it matters what device it was recorded with, and how it has been handled since, such as how the file has been compressed (which is often the case when you send a file by email), any processing or editing was done to it, and how the file has been stored. In most cases, we are able to at least improve the original files sent to us, but how much of an improvement you can expect depends on a variety of factors.
HOW TO SUBMIT FILES?
You can send material to us digitally or by e-mail. Read more about how you can submit your files and material here.
